Welcome!

Little Talkers Speech Therapy is a privately owned, boutique style speech-language therapy practice. At Little Talkers, sessions are built around meaningful play, movement, and connection in the natural setting of your child’s home. Children are most engaged when they’re having fun, and that’s when real learning happens. We use evidence-based techniques woven into games, books, crafts, and child-led play so your child feels safe, motivated, and proud of their progress.

Therapy goals are individualized for every child, and family coaching is provided so strategies carry over at home and school. We strongly believe in a collaborative approach with teachers, tutors, and other providers.

We currently provide in-home services in Plainview, Syosset, Woodbury, Melville, Old Bethpage, Brookville, Muttontown, Jericho, Bethpage, Dix Hills, Huntington, Hicksville, and nearby/surrounding towns. Tele-therapy is also available for those all over New York.

Meet Our Speech-Language Pathologist

Gina DeMasi, M.S. CCC-SLP, TSSLD, is a pediatric speech-language pathologist and mom of two with over a decade of experience serving families across Long Island and New York City. She is a New York State and Connecticut licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and certified Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD), who holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Gina specializes in supporting children with articulation and phonological disorders, childhood apraxia, early language development, language delays, ADHD-related communication and learning challenges, and literacy intervention. Her approach is warm, encouraging, and rooted in meaningful play. Gina’s goal is to help your child communicate and learn with confidence — and to make the process enjoyable for your whole family. She values a team approach: parents, caregivers, teachers, and other providers are always welcome partners in the process.

Gina is currently trained in many evidence-based programs including PROMPT, Kaufman Method, Social Thinking, Sarah Ward's Executive Function Skills Program, and Linda Mood-Bell's Visualizing and Verbalizing.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Little Talkers Speech Therapy is a private-pay practice. Payment is due at the time of service. We accept payment through credit, debit, HSA, or FSA cards. Upon request, we can provide a detailed superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

  • Most sessions are 30 or 45 minutes, depending on your child’s age, attention, and goals. Evaluation sessions may be longer.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are billed at the full session rate. This policy allows us to reserve your child’s weekly spot and helps maintain consistent progress.

  • Yes! We offer secure, HIPAA-compliant teletherapy sessions for families who live in New York, Connecticut and Florida. Teletherapy can be a great fit for busy schedules, mild illness, inclement weather, or families who simply prefer virtual care.

  • The length of therapy varies for each child and depends on factors such as age, the type and severity of the speech or language difficulty, consistency of attendance, and practice at home.

Some children make progress in a few months, while others benefit from longer-term support. Our goal is always to build meaningful, functional communication skills, not to rush the process.

We regularly monitor progress, adjust goals as needed, and will discuss discharge when your child is ready.
